According to media reports, Qatar has spent more than $200 billion on infrastructure to host the soccer World Cup in the country, and the stadiums have been air-conditioned for fans to enjoy.

During the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, fans will not be allowed to wear short dresses (baring the shoulders or above the knee) to watch matches.
According to the report of a foreign news agency, under the country’s Muslim laws, fans can be fined or jailed for wearing short dresses during the World Cup.
Non-Qatari women are not expected to follow the country’s strict Muslim dress code and wear the abaya, but covering the shoulders and knees will be mandatory.
